What I’m Loving Friday: Aura Cacia Organic Chakra Balancing Aromatherapy Roll-Ons

I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things on Fridays. First up: Aura Cacia Organic Chakra Balancing Aromatherapy Roll-Ons.

Now, stick with me here. It doesn’t matter if you are into the spiritual aspects behind this product or not (though I’m of the school that I can use all the help I can get). These smell delicious.

I’m pretty sensitive to scent, and commercial perfumes just kill me, but I still like to smell nice. I’ve experimented with lots of essential oils in carrier oils as moisturizers to a good degree of success. Sometimes, however, I just want a little something extra. Especially when I’m traveling.

That’s where the Chakra Balancing oils come in.

I was in Chicago visiting some friends a while ago, and, while pushing my cart up and down the aisles of Whole Foods shopping for dinner party ingredients, I stumbled upon a display for these little rollerballs.

I’m familiar with the brand and use the individual essential oils in my blends, so I felt comfortable picking one up. Convenient applicator. No immediate headache as I strolled through the store after applying the sample.

I started with the solar plexus because the scent called to me. (“A balanced solar plexus chakra inspires the expression of personal energy.“) It smells clean and fresh…with just a hint of something that makes it a little bit interesting. I loved it.

And then, dear reader, I found a bigger display at another local market the other day and bought the expressive throat blend. (“A balanced throat chakra inspires calm, confident and clear communication.”) I smell–very subtly, mind you–like a delicious cake. A sexy, lemon vanilla cake.

I don’t know if my personal energy is strengthened or if I’m communicating any better, but dang, I love sniffing my wrists.

Uh, don’t worry, fellow coffee shop patrons, I’m totally normal.
