Though I’m not much of a fan of New Year’s Eve (despite the fact I love reading–and writing–NYE’s holiday romances), I love New Year’s Day.
I’m not a huge fan of the trappings of NYD: the black-eyed peas, the cabbage, and even the sushi that some of my friends swear by. But I love the idea of a clean slate. A new beginning.
And I absolutely love that January 1 was on a Friday because it feels like I have all weekend long to really dream big before I attack the new year on Monday.
So that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’ve made some awesome lists that build on the projects I already have in the works, and I’ve got a few things in mind for the 2017 publishing year, too!
Annnnnnd I’m doing some personal goal-setting.
I don’t make resolutions. I just try to take in my life as it is and think about how I’d like it to be–and daydream about how I can get there. (Yeah, it’s basically the same as making resolutions, but doesn’t daydreaming sound much more fun?)
Because resolving to not put sugar in my tea is just about the most terrible idea on the planet…
